The Egypt FETP program has achieved significant success in developing a strong cadre of public health professionals. Over the years, the program has graduated 21 cohorts, producing a total of 174 skilled epidemiologists. These graduates now hold leadership positions within the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) and contribute to public health efforts in various capacities. They play crucial roles in decision-making, program implementation, and research within the MoHP and even contribute to international organizations.
Currently, the 22nd cohort of the Egypt FETP program is underway, with 18 residents in their first year of training. This cohort reflects the program's commitment to inclusivity, encompassing a diverse range of specialties including surveillance, immunization, veterinary medicine, environmental health, laboratory, infection control, etc. This multidisciplinary approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of public health challenges and strengthens the program's ability to address complex health issues.
