The Egypt FETP program, in collaboration with the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET), has made significant strides in developing a strong cadre of public health professionals. Since its inception, the program has successfully graduated two cohorts, producing a total of 35 skilled epidemiologists. The first cohort commenced its training in 2021, recognizing the critical need for well-trained epidemiologists in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The second cohort successfully completed their training in 2023.
Building upon these successes, preparations are currently underway for the recruitment of the third cohort, further strengthening the public health workforce in Egypt.
