The Egypt FETP program has played a crucial role in developing a robust frontline workforce capable of effectively responding to public health challenges in Egypt. Since its inception in 2017, the program has successfully graduated six cohorts, producing a total of 147 sanitarians and 26 medical workers. These graduates are now actively contributing to public health efforts across the country, enhancing disease surveillance, outbreak response, and public health interventions.
Currently, we are working with cohort #7, which features a specialized track focusing on "One Health." This innovative track includes 30 participants from diverse ministries and national authorities, including agriculture, environment, and veterinary services. This interdisciplinary approach aims to strengthen the public health workforce in Egypt by fostering collaboration and addressing health challenges from a holistic perspective.
